Lifeboat crews from Douglas RNLI will feature in a BBC programme tomorrow night.
The forthcoming episode of 'Saving Lives At Sea' - on BBC Two tomorrow at 8pm - includes Manx crews going to the aid of a fishing boat that had suffered an engine fire.
The two crew on the 16m fishing boat had advised the Coastguard that they had been able to extinguish a fire in their engine, but were immobile approximately five miles south-east of Douglas and required assistance.
The popular 10-part documentary is now in its seventh series and includes the lifesaving work of RNLI lifeguards and volunteer lifeboat crews from around the UK and Ireland.
Coxswain at Douglas Edd Christian who features in the episode said: 'Following our fellow station at Port St Mary featuring this week, we look forward to continuing with another story from our Island.
'Our lifesaving work would not be possible without donations from the public, and we are proud to be able to represent the Isle of Man
for the second time the series.’
