The government's Douglas Promenade Support Scheme will close in June, if changes to the policy are approved by Tynwald.
As the Douglas Prom Refurbishment Scheme is almost completed, government feels that financial support to affected businesses should come to an end.
However, new businesses that have opened since the work began could now be eligible for support before the scheme closes.
Changes to the policy will be discussed in Tynwald on Tuesday April 26.
