A man’s admitted breaking another man’s ankle in a fight outside a Douglas pub.
Wiktor Andrzej Budzinski of Princes Avenue in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 23 year old pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm outside the Nag’s Head on Victoria Street in Douglas on July 17.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing police were called to reports of a fight outside Bordello nightclub shortly before 4am, and saw Budzinski on top of his victim.
He was arrested, and CCTV showed he’d grabbed the man, put him in a headlock and flung him to the ground, fracturing his ankle as he fell.
The court heard he’d initially given a false name to officers but was caught out when his fingerprints were taken at police headquarters.
Mrs Hughes bailed him in the sum of £500 and he’ll appear in court again for sentencing on October 6.
