A man who’s alleged to have assaulted his teenaged girlfriend has been bailed as he awaits trial.
Tyler Jack Snape of Willaston Crescent in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse via a live video link from the Isle of Man Prison.
He’s previously pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly on August 14 but not guilty to assault on August 19.
Prosecutor Roger Kane told the court Mr Snape is alleged to have pushed the 16 year old girl to the ground twice on Princes Road in Douglas.
After police found the 22 year old and arrested him, he deliberately headbutted a cage inside a police van and needed treatment at Noble’s Hospital.
Magistrates bailed him to live at Tromode House in the sum of £500 on condition he doesn’t contact witnesses in the case, and doesn’t leave the Isle of Man without permission.
He’ll next appear in court on January 6.
