The Douglas Lift Bridge is going to be closed to the public tomorrow to allow for some essential maintenance work to be carried out.
Measures will be taken to stop the noticeable banging noise that occurs each time a vehicle passes over the bridge bracket.
The vehicle barriers also require maintenance work and the whole southern approach is needing resurfacing.
The bridge will be closed from 7.00am to midnight.
It’s anticipated that this will be a sufficient period of time for the teams to get the work completed.
