A man was left with serious injuries over the weekend after what police are calling "an incident".
It happened on Market Street, near Chester Street car park at around 21:40 on Friday and involved four people.
The CID is appealing for witnesses to come forward to help with the investigation.
Officers said " If you were in the area and you saw or heard anything around this time, however trivial you may think it is, please call CID at Douglas Police Headquarters on 631301 quoting 97/10006/22".
