Building a Douglas fit for the future is not just about 'bricks and mortar and shiny steel and glass developments'.
That's according to Mayor of Douglas, Jon Joughin, when he addressed guests at the mayor's annual business lunch at Douglas Town Hall.
Councillor Joughin says the long-term future of the town also involves building partnerships between central and local government, the business sector and local community.
He added safeguarding the towns heritage remains a key factor, along with 'promoting and enhancing' green areas.
