Douglas East MHK Brenda Cannell tenders resignation

Douglas East MHK Brenda Cannell is resigning her seat.

Tynwald has been handed one month's statutory notice of her intention to leave her post on 7th October.

Brenda is standing down for personal reasons - but says she does so 'with reluctance'.

Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan said he would like to thank her for her significant contribution to political life in the Isle of Man.
