Residents in the Island's capital who volunteer for good causes could be recognised by a special award in future.
Douglas council is considering setting up an annual community award scheme.
The awards would recognise individuals and groups who give up time and effort for the community or charity.
The local authority says any resident can nominate people or be nominated, and the public will be able to vote online for the winner.
