The highest honour given by Douglas Council has been posthumously awarded to Paul Cowin.
The 'Freedom of the Borough' was given to Paul's family at a ceremony last week.
He passed away in December last year aged 66, after 49 years of service with the local authority.
In being made an Honorary Freeman, Paul's name is added to a list including Sir Winston Churchill, Norman Wisdom and the Bee Gees.
