Douglas Borough Council has held talks with Tesco over the future management of the supermarket’s car park.
It’s understood officers have met with representatives of the chain store to discuss how to prevent commuters taking spaces that are intended for customers.
The local authority has described the talks as ‘very constructive’, but no decisions have been made at this stage
The entire car park was resurfaced in 2018, whilst UK building company Riggotts laid the new markings at the site.
Earlier this year, Douglas Council scrapped free Sunday parking at Chester Street, Shaw’s Brow and the Bottleneck car parks, and introduced a £2 charge.
