Douglas council says it had 42 vacant homes at the end of last month.
A report to the Housing and Property Committee said at the end of January it had 46 vacant properties.
However, by February 21 that figure had fallen to 42 - with seven units ready for allocation.
Another six social housing homes were said to be ready within two weeks.
