Douglas Council's added seven new electric vans to its fleet.
For the past 12 months the corporation's been trialling an electric vehicle to see whether it's suitable for day-to-day use.
The new EVs will join the council's electric tipper and are part of a wider plan to slowly replace more diesel vehicles with low and zero-emission alternatives.
Councillor Falk Horning says the size and layout of the capital make it an ideal environment for electric transport.
