Douglas Borough Council has announced their next mayor for the upcoming municipal year.
Athol Ward Councillor Stan Cain will take on the role, with Councillor Carol Malarkey coming to the end of her tenure.
Willaston man Mr Cain was selected at a special meeting of the Council, held yesterday.
Although he has signified his intention to accept the post, it will be confirmed at the Annual Council Meeting on 14th May.
