A joint warning has gone out from the Douglas Borough Council and the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team following a bogus call scam.
Members of the public have been contacted by an individual claiming to be conducting a survey on electrical installations on the Saddlestone Estate in Douglas.
They claim to be working on behalf of the council, a claim the council has refuted.
Inspector Mark Britton speculated as to the reasons for this particular bogus call:
