A 14-year-old boy from Douglas will begin a near 200-mile challenge this weekend in aid of a local charity.
Jake Hodgson, a Year 9 student at Ballakermeen High School, travels on Saturday to take on the infamous UK coast-to-coast walk aiming to raise over £15,000 for Rebecca House.
He says he wants to help children who may not get the chance to enjoy walks and the outdoors and hopes his efforts can make a difference to the lives of local people.
He will make the trek by foot from the west at St Bees in Cumbria all the way across to the eastern coast at Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire.
