A popular bar in the Island capital is hoping to create an outdoor seating area.
1886 Bar & Grill on Regent Street has put forward a planning application to create a section for customers in front of the new 'Mid Summer Chronophage' clock display recently installed at the venue.
If approved, it would see fabric barriers put up to separate it from the public pathway outside, outdoor heating put in place and 'Dutch' canopies placed over the entrances.
The proposal says the applicant has consulted with Douglas Borough Council, Highways Services and the Police and it's understood the concept has been well received.
