A Colby man will serve a double driving ban after being convicted of two sets of crimes within three months.
Phillip Nyamande of The Level admitted having no tax or insurance and riding without a crash helmet when he appeared before magistrates this week.
The court heard the 23 year old had overtaken an off-duty police officer on Main Road in Colby just before midday on October 29.
He wasn’t wearing a helmet, and the officer took his registration number - Nyamande was tracked down a short time later.
Magistrates were told he’d been banned from the roads by Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes for six months last November.
They fined him £250, ordered him to pay £50 costs and imposed another driving ban for two months to run alongside his current disqualification.
