We're being asked to consider giving our pets less food to stop them getting overweight at home
Arg Beiyn Veterinary Practice in Onchan says currently a big concert is with our pets not getting much exercise or being given extra treats during lockdown - it could lead to a sharp rise in pet obesity which can then lead to problems such as diabetes, liver issues and heart problems.
As a result, the practice is suggesting reducing the amount of food, increasing your animals' activity at home or changing to a neutered or light diet.
It adds if you're unsure and need advice, you can ring the team on 622 259 or 812 208.
