Youth Games Could Be Launching Pad For Young Manx Athletes
With the Commonwealth Youth Games organisation and Bowl development taking all the headlines it’s important not to overlook the athletes themselves.
That's the message from Secretary of the Commonwealth Association Tonia Lushington, she told 3FM that the Games could potentially act as a launching platform for some of the Island’s young elite athletes.
The Island will be putting forward a team of 45 athletes, competing in 7 sports.
They will be mixing with and coming up against the very best of the Commonwealth’s young sporting talent.
The athlete selection process will be taking place over the coming months; Tonia said the Games could very well produce the Island's next International sports star.
