The Department of Infrastructure has submitted new plans to convert a silt store into a permanent storage facility at Rockmount.
An application was submitted in 2020, which received a number of requests for more information and changes.
Following a consultation period with the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, the proposed works have now been altered to address the points raised.
The government maintains it is not looking to deposit any additional dredged material within the facility, which is near Poortown Quarry.
