Public sector housing tenants will see their rents rise next year - although the hike is by less than the rate of inflation.
The Department of Infrastructure says the Island's housing authorities' rents will go up by 3.1 per cent from April.
That includes 2 per cent to meet rising costs and 1.1 per cent for higher maintenance allowances.
The department says it'll mean an average rise of up to £2.96 a week - but those on housing benefits won't be affected.
