The Mountain Road could be closed for longer than expected today after workers found problems at Brandywell.
The Department of Infrastructure says as they were setting up the TT one-way system, they discovered problems with surface water.
The section was resurfaced earlier this month after a contractor spilled bitumen - and a temporary closure on Wednesday couldn't fix the problem.
As a result, the DOI says today's closure is likely to be extended past its 4.30pm target while the work is carried out.
