The government is reviewing the 20mph speed limits on Manx streets.
The Department of Infrastructure is looking into them with a view to providing a consistent approach and possibly increase the amount of them where appropriate.
The DOI adds it wants to up the quality or add to the character of zones in town centre areas as a result.
Officials are inviting expressions of interest from highway engineers to provide a consultancy service on the matter - any interested parties should send submissions to the government portal by no later than Noon on Friday, June 14.
