The Department of Infrastructure is reminding walkers not to enter private land.
There have been several instances where walkers have followed paths or trails from an app and ended up on private land.
Apps may show paths that are not public rights of way - the Definitive Map is the only source of legally defined rights of way, and shows only the paths or trails available to the public.
