The government's only been asked once to light up the Manx Electric Railway sign for a special event.
That's according to the response to a Freedom of Information request, which asked if the light colour could be changed for things like Breast Cancer Awareness.
The Department of Infrastructure says it considers requests from organisations to do so.
But it added staff who set up the Douglas landmark's lighting have since left, and so it needs help from the supplier to change it.
