The Department of Infrastructure is issuing advice to parking permit holders after a delay in new ones being sent out to some residents.
Officials say motorists should keep their expired permits in place with parking controllers allowing a period of transition.
The DOI says due to the high volume of applications - totaling more than 4,000 - sometimes delays can occur and not everyone receives them on time.
The permits are usually renewed on April 1 each year.
