Police are looking for a vehicle after it hit a dog and drove off.
At 9pm on Wednesday, what's believed to be a dark hatchback type car hit a Labrador outside the Coop on Bay View Road in Port St Mary while travelling towards the village.
The driver failed to stop - officers believe they would have been aware of the collision and it's believed there would be front impact damage to the car as a result.
Police are conducting CCTV enquires and are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything and urge the driver to come forward.
