People on the Isle of Man are being warned of the dangers of consuming too much salt.
A new study revealed this week that a slice of cheese contains more salt than a bag of crisps.
Although the right balance of salt is essential to people’s diets there are numerous complications that can arise from consuming too much.
Things like breakfast cereals, cakes, biscuits and bacon are other commonly bought foods that carry a high-salt content.
Dr Paul Emerson, from the Public Health Directorate, says salt can have big implications on your health:
