Peel commissioners have lowered rates for three homes in the town because of swage smells, it's been revealed.
A Freedom of Information request to the local authority asked for a list of homes that paid reduced or no rates over the last three years.
The response revealed three homes have been given 20 per cent discounts on their rate bills because of the smell from nearby sewage tanks.
The lower rates were approved in 2022.
