250 Mile Swim Raises £600 for Charity
A disabled Ballaugh man has finally reached his target of swimming 250 miles, raising a considerable amount of money for charity in the process.
69 year old Michael Bazin started off the swim in 2006, initially completing 10 lengths a day, more recently he has been doing 64 lengths a day, the equivalent of one mile.
Not only did he manage to raise £600 for Peel Lifeboat, but it’s thought the swimming has been a great way for him to excercise.
Michael has now gone 20 miles over 250 and intends to carry on raising money for the RNLI.
