Police are appealing for witnesses following an argument outside a bar in Douglas on Sunday.
The "verbal altercation” happened outside Jaks at around 5pm.
Police say it was aimed at a family and was initiated by two men – one of whom is believed to have filmed the incident on his mobile phone.
Anyone who witnessed it is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
