Residents in the north of the Island are puzzling over a series of loud explosions yesterday.
A number of people took to Facebook to report loud double-booms on Monday afternoon.
In Baldrine, one woman says the noises shook her conservatory while others further north say they heard low rumbling noises.
Theories include sonic booms from aircraft and weapons noise from a firing range in Cumbria.
