A vessel in Douglas harbour is believed to be behind a water contamination incident yesterday.
Investigations into the cause are still continuing after properties in Lower Douglas reported their supplies smelt of fuel and seawater.
It's thought bilge water was accidentally pumped into the water supply by crew members on board a ship.
Today, Manx Utilities has told customers affected to boil their water and flush out systems by running kitchen taps for 20 minutes.
