The Island's Health Minister could ask for additional funds, after predictions of a £5.4 million overspend by his department.
Figures at this month's House of Keys sitting show the Department of Health and Social Care is projected to be just under £5.5 million over budget by the end of the financial year.
David Ashford MHK did confirm he expects to seek a supplementary vote in January, although the final figure hasn't yet been confirmed.
He insists work is underway to prevent this from happening again.
