The number of cancelled operations on the Island halved after Covid, it's been revealed.
Onchan MHK Julie Edge asked for details about cancelled ops in a question for written reply to Health Minister Lawrie Hooper.
He revealed 161 were cancelled in 2021, with 85 cancellations because of the pandemic - and that figure dropped to 82 last year.
A total of 32 were called off because of staff shortages last year, with another eight cancelled because of a lack of beds.
