The Department for Enterprise says a half-hour show by the Red Arrows is the greenhouse gas equivalent of driving around 125,000 miles in a Ford Fiesta.
A Freedom of Information request to the department asked for details about the emissions from the RAF display team during TT.
In its response, the department said 2023 figures showed a half-hour show by eight planes produced 26,194 kilos of CO2 - but noted the TT show doesn't last half an hour.
A five-door Ford Fiesta produces around 130 grams of CO2 per kilometre.
