With race week in full swing today there are high expectations for record breaking laps on the Mountain Circuit.
The races are due to get underway at midday, we will keep you update here on 3FM of any delays.
Despite low-lying mist around areas of the Isle of Man, it is still hoped the first day of racing at the 2010 TT will get under way on time.
The six-lap PokerStars Superbike race is due to start at midday, with the first Sure Sidecar TT, to be run over three laps, due away at 3pm.
The Island was covered by mist this morning, but forecasters believe the cloud will lift to allow racing to be run – although a small delay cannot yet be ruled out
Throughout practice week John McGuinness and Ian Hutchinson both recorded laps over the 130 barrier.
In last nights practice as happened in Thursdays qualifying, the sidecars were first out on the course and they were greeted with an information board saying simply dry roads, clear weather
Ian Hutchinson got a lap 130.614mph to move to the top of the Superbike qualifying leaderboard and win the Graham watch for the fastest rider of the week.
Away from the racing, there is lots happening on the Island today, the former stone roses front man Ian Brown will be at the villa marina tonight, and they'll also be entertainment on Douglas prom, the Thunderdome Games will be there with a demonstration of high octane skill and spectacular showmanship.
A celebrity chat show will also be on to entertain the crowds. That all starts from 7:30PM.
