The director of Social Security has defended controversial incapacity assessments saying they did work 'in the vast majority of cases'.
Last week a Social Affairs Policy Review Committee heard evidence from political members and civil servants involved in Treasury and Dependability Limited's work.
The tests - assessing whether people on sick benefits are fit for work have been widely criticised - with an independent report stating they were over-simplified and unsuitable.
