Department of Infrastructure Support Decision to Grant Worker Absolute Discharge
The
newly formed Department of Infrastructure have released a statement supporting
the decision not to charge DOT worker Brian Tomlinson with
manslaughter.
It
stemmed from the death of visiting biker Alan Osbourne during the 2008 TT, he
died as a result of a head on collision near roadworks at the
Verandah.
Mr
Tomlinson was accused of gross negligence.
As a result of the manslaughter charge being dropped Mr Tomlinson was granted an absolute discharge.
