New Scheme Will Greatly Assist Medical Experts When Dealing With Emergencies
The Department of Health has begun a new public awareness campaign in relation to the Manx Emergency Care Record.
The MECR is an electronic record of key medical information for use in emergency situations.
Normally this information could only be accessed with the person’s consent, and by authorised care staff.
The information will now all be readily available from one location, which will be of a great advantage in emergency situations.
Leaflets will be posted out next week explaining the finer details of the scheme.
