The Department of Health will implement a number of recommendations put forward in the recent Francis Report.
The report was commissioned by the NHS in light of serious failings at the mid-Staffordshire acute hospital trust.
Of the 290 recommendations put forward the department say over 230 are applicable to the way the Island’s health service is delivered.
A number of these suggestions will be implemented over time coming at a cost.
