The Department of Economic Development says it's looking for a company to provide a race management system for the TT course.
It's gone out to tender for the project, which would provide information about racing around the Mountain Circuit.
In a brief on the government website, it says the successful bidder would set up the system for both the TT and Festival of Motorcycling.
The system would manage race, practice and parade activity on the course - including entry submissions, race timing, results and payment of prizes.
The department says not only would the company provide networking equipment, but also staff and on-site management.
In the specifications, it says the computers would need to link to other systems, including the iomtt.com website and scoreboard displays.
As well as that, it would record signing-on, check transponders, time race and qualifying and provide information to the media.
The deadline for expressions of interest is August 4.
