The Island's Information Commissioner has told a government department to review its decision on a Freedom of Information request about racist language.
In response to an FOI request, the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture said it couldn't find any records of racist language in correspondence with Ramsey commissioners - and refused to review its response when asked.
It claimed the applicant didn't qualify for a review, but Dr Alexandra Delaney-Bhattacharya says that's wrong, adding the organisation had failed to provide sufficient assistance or a reasonable search for the information.
She's now told DEFA to reprocess the request, provide a new response and show evidence of procedure and training documents.
