An announcement on which airline will provide routes to Manchester and Birmingham should be made within the next week.
That's according to the Island's Infrastructure Minister - who responded to urgent questions in the House of Keys yesterday.
He said a number of airlines are interested in providing air links to the UK routes from the Isle of Man.
However, he did admit it's a 'nervous time' in the aviation industry - with concerns Coronavirus will destroy airlines and their routes.
Mr Harmer said discussions with other airlines are at an 'advanced' stage and his department will make an announcement as soon as a decision is made.
