 
                            Passengers are being promised that they won’t be left stranded today (Thursday) during the bus strike.
Drivers will take industrial action between 1pm and 6pm following a dispute over pay and terms and conditions.
However buses due to operate at 1pm will be driven by non-striking drivers so that disruption isn’t caused in the middle of a route.
A reduced service will then operate and children will again be required to use the trams and steam train to get home from school.
Community, Culture and Leisure chief executive Nick Black says the action is calculated:
