David Cannan to Lead Health Agreement Demonstration in Tynwald Today
One the MHK’s who has been very vocal in his opposition to the ending of the reciprocal health agreement will be staging a demonstration in Tynwald today.
David Cannan has proposed that the Government fund the agreement for an extra six months, in which time he is hopefull a more permanent solution can be found.
The Michael MHK will be backed up a number of supporters to his proposal.
As it stands the agreement will cease on April 1st and local residents will be forced to provide their own health cover when travelling to the UK.
David Cannan had this to say when he spoke to Granada Reports.
