Michael MHK to Play No Part in New Look Government
Chief Minister Tony Brown has unveiled his new look Government, with the biggest surprise being the removal from Government of Michael MHK David Cannan.
He has been very vocal in the House of Keys of late over the issue of the Reciprocal Health Agreement with his determination paying dividends with the 6 month reprieve.
His no nonsense approach and criticism of the Government could be a major factor in him being dropped.
He will still remain in the House of Keys as an elected member for Michael but that will now be the extent of his input, he joins Liberal Vannin Leader Peter Karran who is the only other member of the house without a role in Government.
Elsewhere joining Anne Craine in Treasury will be Phil Braidwood and Eddie Lowey, Juan Watterson and Alex Downie will be among the members joining Alan Bell in the newly formed Department of Economic Development.
