David Ashford appointed Chair of Housing and Communities Board

David Ashford MHK has been appointed as a Member of the Cabinet Office, and will become the Chair of the Housing and Communities Board.

His main role within the Housing and Communities Board will be to work closely with Infrastructure to develop proposals for a national housing association.

A housing association would have total responsibility for the Island's 1200 public sector properties.

The Douglas North MHK said 'housing policy is of central strategic importance to the future of our Island'.
