Dates for a by-election in Douglas South have been confirmed this week.
The writs for the House of Keys on the matter were issued by Lieutenant Governor, Sir Richard Gozney, on Thursday.
There are currently no MHK's in the constituency, following the passing of Bill Malarkey earlier this year and Kate Costain stepping down earlier this week.
In the event of a contest for the roles, registered voters in the area will go to the polls on Thursday, August 27.
Meanwhile, prospective candidates must submit their nomination papers to the Returning Officer between 10am next Wednesday (July 22) and 1pm on Wednesday, July 29.
